The Outsider

The Outsider

A Poem by Charlie McEwan

The outsider, the outcast
stood alone in the corner
beaten down by days of hate
scared by words of scorn.
The Unique one
so afraid of being alone.
His eye's do not see, what the rest of us see
he is not a lone pillar.
Tall and strong with heads held high; or weak and crumbling
fading away.
So to the outsider, don't be afraid.
You are never alone, you always have life by your side.
The power to be exactly who you want to be.
Don't let anyone beat you down.
Get yourself out of that corner
Allow yourself to shine.

This is very encouraging and great advice! One good thing about going through our own stuff is having the heart and ability to lift others out of similar circumstances. You clearly have it. Good job here!
