True Love

I wrote this when i was 16 after waking up in the middle of the night from a dream i no longer remember.

Tender, sweet and gentle

Like silk across my skin

How can something so little

Burn so deeply from within

So wonderful, so new

Full of my heart’s desire

How is it possible that this

Can cause a glow as bright as fire

Explain to me this sense

That I did not know of

Can these feelings really be

My very own true love
