They say that smiling makes you feel better

They say that smiling makes you feel better

A Poem by Wolfie

Love and happiness burns like fire before me,
But there is a price to pay, you see;
Joy loved to taunt the haunted,
He gave them a reason to stay,
He gave them everything they wanted,
Then left then with a world of grey

I saw the light at the end of the tunnel,
but it was a flashlight held by the man I hated most,
He laughed as he watched my legs buckle
Help me, I hear the symphony in the distance,
It was the sound of deaths unmistakable chuckle

my legs screamed run.
Silly girl, you think you can outrun death?
No matter what he will always find you,
he's just just special eyes for your broken soul

I try to run  but my feet fail to move,
Like a blind man playing a game of chess,
This was surely a game I would loose
