Dark Spiral

Dark Spiral

A Poem by Wolf's Ink
"

A song that has been tormenting my thoughts since the start of the evening today. Mentally it's accompanied by heavy metal distortions on the guitar, base, drums, and matching voice.

"
V1
Cut. All the lines that tie you
Cut. All the strings that sing her name
Erase. All the worlds you've written
Who gives a f**k how long it takes, you're the one to blame

Forget. Memories you thought were pleasant
Forget. The smiles you thought were true
Burn. Out your passions and hope to nothing
Fall back into the night with beasts you thought you slew

C.
Go back to the darkness and forget you saw a light
Lay down your sword and surrender you can no longer fight
You never had a chance, how could you, who would've told
That anyone could have love such a self-battered and bruised soul
There is only losing for you, no way to win or tie
So find your rope and tie it, take the drop and

V2
Fall. Into the arms of the broken
Fall. From the grace you thought you had
Hit. The mud and don't get up again
This is your true place, not a launch pad

Stay. In this hell that you've created
Stay. There's no escape from here
Conceal. The small light inside you
You're better off learning how to hide and disappear

C.
B.
See that your intentions though true were false
The heart you'd die for doesn't want that say
Stop returning to this endless waltz
Freeze your heart, let the thought of love just fade away

C.

I can see this being a very effective song. It actually is one of your better pieces, too. Very well-constructed, and the images are quite good.
