Once the wind blew calm

Once the wind blew calm

A Poem by Wolfwind

Once a wind was calm

Humor and joy in the palm

Of a mission that was seeded

Caffeine was surely needed

Remembering, pondering

Wondering

Dream of memories embracing

The wind it does now gust and gale

Storms thundering with broken sail

Thoughts of the journey

Seeming so grand

Traversing, crossing this now barren land

A heart

Among the cliffs and rocks of pink

A shadow of myself, lingers

Thinking

Pondering

Knowing

A ghost does drift

Upon trails walked under the sun

Images of sand to remain

Adrift upon the tides of life

Feeling

Walking

The truth that came

Came with pain

The hours now ride with Fate

Empty the knowing

But not with hate

Only the thoughts of heart

Broken in the desert light

Where it was given life, at the start

The escence of this peice spoke "elegance" and "wonder". It kept on the flow as a river rushing to meet it's dreams. Nice write! Truely nice write!
