Definition of "Mother"

Definition of "Mother"

A Story by Thoughts
"

Short story.

"
Savage, primal, nihilistic, transcendent.
A terrible beauty.

I think that the definition is a variable within the flow of familial life. As each youth shall have grown up with different experiences. My mother was in no way savage, primal...only in her ability to grow food out of a garden and cook it all. Nihilistic, not at all. Transcendent, yes. Because she always has a way to brighten the joy factors of everyone in the room. I would say for my mother...it would be a Divine Beauty.

Thanks for your thoughts. They make one think!

hahaha. i like the length. i have a hard time reading short stories by writers that i've never heard of- you know, it too often feels like you're wasting your time and you can't get it back.

now that isn't to say that you couldn't write something long or that i wouldn't read it- just that i jumped to this one thinking it was a story... and well, who am i to define a story as being long?

maybe it's that i can relate so much. not everyone is unlucky enough to define their mother that way. there are lots of mothers that would never fit that description.

but yours tells a story. all in two lines. one that is sad and one that i feel could easily have been written for me.

best story i've read yet.

thank you for sharing.
