"Macaw Owner's Advisory"

"Macaw Owner's Advisory"

"Macaw Owner's Advisory"

(from a birds point of view)

You must be very intelligent
To be willing to treat me right
I know your anxious to care
These tips help see the light

Understand all my requests
Please no funny bird sounds
Bad words that I say can hurt
really cause some awful frowns

First: I must make it clear
No cage except to sleep
With my head under my wing
Around my cage please creep

Second: I need lots of affection
riding on your shoulder is fine
I love to have my head scratched
Hard to reach spots along my spine

Third; I need some training
My potty habits are real bad
If you wear favorite clothes
It would look very sad

Forth: I love the best of fruit
Seeds are rather blah
Must keep my feathers beautiful
I like my artichokes raw

Fifth: I love to humm and sing
If you can sing I'll sound better
If you can't sing at all, well
You'll get an eviction letter

Sixth: With this beak, I love to chew
Furniture or wood carvings are great
Please give me something to gnaw
Or say "Look what that bird ate"!

Seventh: I especially love to fly
While your counting lots of money
Love to see it flutter all around
When your mad it's really funny

You want to clip my feathers
I already know it does not hurt
I will not hold a grudge
As long as blood doesn't squirt

Everyone must know who's boss
And that this beak rips
With wings spread, I will squawk
Hope you like these helpful tips
