"Today's Titanic"

The Titanic has been on my mind
It happened so very long ago
The movie about a love story
So sad but made my heart glow

Many perished in the sea's icy grave
Not enough lifeboats on board
They were not full, had room for more
No one would save others, Oh Lord!

Survivors rowed from the sinking ship
Not to get pulled down by suction
Screams were heard until the Titanic
Disappeared to her destruction

In time some went back not many left
Like today many are going down to the brine
Are we going to help or say,"They should have
Gotten into the boat when there was time"?

For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you,
with many tears, not that you should be grieved,
but that you might know the love which I have so abundantly for you.
