My Love

My Love

A Poem by WordsFromAPen
"

I love him, still

"
In love with a taken man
All strength to leave, denies me
Heart and mind conflicted
But he who dares, loves

When you know, you know
As time passes, it grows
As though the first glance
Was just a mere glow

In the fire that now burns
Memories bask in the embers
Of ash that doth settle
As a blanket of reason

For the failings doth come
And disappointment hath sprung
From a place I knew well
In his infidelity mirrored

She cometh with the elements
She leaveth with my love
Her rightful place beside him
My lonely heart aslump

Heartache comes with loving a married man. I felt the conflict here.
