The Ways of Love

The Ways of Love

A Poem by

The way she read my mind
And how she held my hands;
The way she knew I was out of her league
But she gave me that chance

The way she held me
As tight as affection;
The way she kissed me
And how her eyes stared into mine

The way my problem went away
Every time she moved her lips;
And her words moved me
And made me write songs

The way her dimples and smile moved me
And her perfume brings memories to this day
The way she wrote her letters
And how she said she loved me

The way she lives a thousand miles away
And how I'll never tell her
That the way she is will never change
And I'll be waiting here.
