Desperation

Desperation

A Poem by

My words don't rhyme anymore
the rhythm is gone.
Like dewdrops on leaves
on a winter morn,

that fast fade
with the maturing day,
my rhythms and rhymes
have all faded away,

into disturbing noise
and meaningless prose,
that I wish I could not hear
I wish I didn't compose.

this is an exceptional poem! I can totally relate when the poetic muse is gone and all you are left with is prose that you don't really care for. I love this and will be favoriting it.

A collection of words has great value, no matter the rhyme or rhythm... and this is no exception here... connection with feelings ties all good works together and this definitely does. Always enjoy your nature references.

We all feel this way sometimes and you have penned this feeling so well.......

I enjoyed this perfectly titled piece. It does seem that when things get unbalanced and we lose our rhyme it is replaced with some disturbing noise that we are unfamiliar with and don't necessarily want. So few words capture a really big message.
