~ Backwards

I once belonged to steal the night, from a day,

But what a wonderful garden you’ve grown,

A window pane, so transient, visions into

Delights bloom, grace and harmony, of your own

Now nothing less is brought to me,

Just your eloquent voice of  rest and peace,

Burned us backwards against the clock

There is no more need to cry out the salt of tears

Embrace the pain, softly and with your careful touch,

Whisper it, your invisible heart, through the morning dew;

Paint the name, for it has to be buried there

Deep underneath this bed of leaves anew…

Now closed eyes will bring you forward

To awake into the bed of being there at home;

A place to stay, and to forever wake-up

On Sunday mornings, with a timeless love so prone

You do me in baby, my head always a mix of things when I read you. All sorts of one thing set next to another. You are unpredictable, yet at the same time, you make everything end in the way I hope it will. I so hope you are happy my dear Elise. Big kiss and hugs - my so talented writer -

"Burned us backwards against the clock" I love this image. There is a certain degree of sadness in all your poems even if they are happy. I love the way you write. This was delicate, intimate, and happy-sad. -Nihad

Love the sense of harmony and serenity sparkling from your poem! Home sweet home, once we return, our soul feel as happy as in heaven...The time is going backwards - to the past, memories, other realities, where I`m myself. Coming back home brings again all what i have lost, the feeling is fascinating..

The bliss of being home.
Home – the comfort of home- is the only place where we can be with ourselves, with our feet on the ground.This what I felt in your beautifully woven words, like what you have said : “do not think, just feel.”
Welcome back, Sis! I am glad to see you and Robbie back.

I felt the relaxed pen. Twirling thoughts as the morning greets a happy mind are seen in these lines.
I can hardly wait to see what the day brings when it begins so well!
