~ That Early Morning

   It seemed the night, was over,

     I walked across the large unending fields,

            Power lines above me,

    The obscure air,

The wind spoke, I sighed…

       The ambience led me into a direction

Of something;

           My heart beats compassed me for…

“It” was yet to come…

        A never ending hike,

            The long grass tickled my feet,

          The dew, was reborn another day --

     And this morning breeze, was humid so fresh;

    It gave my throat a little raw feeling,

Like salt on a skin can give --

Yet, I was sure, I would walk until

       The earth moved to another night time…

Almost unconscious, tired and feet swollen,

            Lungs full of oxygen that seemed,

Inhaled three times,

      A stifling rigidity, around me;

                 To reach the power of love’s electricity...

                                Awake…

The last word of the poem sounds in my mind as "alive" - and it`s the same in that sense..Your poem is so full of energy, activating mind and senses for the value of the special moments...I almost see that early morning as a chain of special moments, in subconscious levels...Very remarkable, dear Eli! :)

A lovely expression of what its like to embrace love through using an early morning field, sunrise, and power line metaphor. It reads as a dream. The picture fits your poem.

I really enjoy the movement in this piece...the beautiful and tender observational movement. Even in the most delicate strokes of the paintbrush, beautiful faces and scenes can be created. You have such a unique style, and it speaks directly from your heart. I love that about your work. Well done!

"The earth moved in time".
Oh it does doesn't it? Yes! We are left in some forsaken oblivion as the works goes on without us. Hovering not ahead, but above us. Teasing the longing soul to reach into a space where time no longer lives...
Perfect line! Great poem!
