~ 7 Years

I remember those evenings when I stared out of my window,

Touching with my visions your face in the shimmering moon

Our distance captivated in every single heart beat behind us

Love profoundly around every minute ticking away

Your whispers, so delicious as the most beautiful sound could be

The smile you left me with, every weekend burned on my retina

The emptiness within the five days of you not being around,

So cruel and mean, but the time ticked however through

The trains we had to catch on hot summer days,

And the fate of seeing you waiting for me on the train platform,

Standing there, running at me, to never let me go

People who embraced our love, within their sparkling eyes

As they secretly watched us, and smiled at us on distance

Winters through snow, we left each other,

And we saw each other again, and again

Staring out of the window, in the busy train, avoiding people

Landscapes, days and the nights, passed easily away

With the thought, I could be any minute with you…

7 years of traveling, patience, love and trust,

We did made it, and look at us now, how close we are

Now if we have to catch a train, it is together

And we cherish the memories while we look again out of the window

And see the timeline of traveling disappearing behind us,

Of a beautiful past and these lovely missed days

We know the twelve years are coming soon for us ,

We smile, out of trust, and we love so strong, as ever

In the trustful reading thoughts we don't speak out loud

We think of all we have made together, and all we will make,

Time will grow in us...

So happy it makes me feel to read these love poems, to know that you have someone to be with you always , someone you have history with, and trust completely, it makes for such a lovely reflection, I'm sure you've had your ups and downs , like all, but it is an inspiration in itself just to read about your love ;)

My dear friend! What an awesome poem! So vivid and so real. Do you know what remind me? A movie that I watched and I never forgot:"Love at the first sight" with Robert DeNiro and Meryl Streep. Did you watch it? The story was like yours, with a difference: he was married, she was married. But I watched that movie over and over... There is a part that when he comes to the train station he saw that the train is gone...that she was gone. Then he heard her calling his name. He turn his back and took her hands. And they go to a corner in the train station and they kiss... awwwwwwww how I loved this movie! And so wonderful your description of this love that you have NOW in your life. Really touching your poem. You write with such tender and soft words.!
Happy New Year.
Love and ((((Hugs))))

Sometimes we need to let go in order to appreciate what we have... then things will be much sweeter the second time around. Such an enchanting piece.

To start, that picture is lovely. You found a fine balance between melancholia and a tone of hope and love in this piece. Takes the reader on quite a journey!

Touching with your visions his face in the shimmering moon ,The smile he left you with, every weekend burned on your retina...these and many other lines exhibit a love so pure and true. I love the artistic expressions fuelled by the love shared by two people. This is an awesome write. Pure and has a smooth flow...nothing forced. Keep your pen moving.

Beautifully written! This poem took me on the most romantic journey of a life time! Two people catching trains to be together no matter the distance they had to go. At the end it all paid off and they were together forever! Stunning write!
