Will I Be Saved?

Will I Be Saved?

A Poem by

This life we choose to live,
Punishment we will not forgive.

Broken beyond repair,
Heart-stopping despair.
On my life I swear,
Deaths chill is in the air.

We drag our feet,
Dreading our defeat.
Sickeningly sweet,
The end is our treat.

Will I be saved?
Or will my wrists be engraved?

A fair question Kit Cat.
The first line was interesting to me. You speak about forgiveness and free will in how we live and think.
I think you actually answered the question in the first two line for me... If we choose and if we learn to forgive then we can learn to choose forgiveness.
A great little poem!

A powerful and emotional ride in your poem. I was not a Angel in youth. Karma did me end in the ending. We pay for all sins with blood and pain. I believe all of us think upon life deeds good and bad. We will engrave pain given and received. Just lessons to make us appreciate the gift of kindness and love when she comes. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
