My Mommy

My Mommy

A Poem by
"

Yes, a mothers day poem, because I love my mom very much.

"
You were with me in the middle of the night,
My diaper full and crying with all my might.
You calmed me when my tears wouldn't stop falling,
Cradled me when I never stopped bawling.

You're the best mom anyone could ask for,
You've given me life, I couldn't ask for more.

You kissed my boo-boos when I scraped my knees,
Bandaged me up when I climbed and fell out of the trees.

You were there when my heart was first broken,
You stood by me with support, your love unspoken.
What's the definition of beauty? I'd say, "My mom,
With her unconditional love and her temper like a nuclear bomb.
My mommy is the the sun that shines in the morning sky,
A beauty so bright it's hard to come by."

My mommy's always there for me.
When my throat hurts she gives me tea,
and doesn't leave until I'm fever free.

Mommy, you have shaped me into who I am today,
Never, not once, have you ever decided to turn away.

I love you, Mommy.
