Four Loving Seasons in Five Heartbreaking Parts

Four Loving Seasons in Five Heartbreaking Parts

A Poem by Alexzandera

A Spring Meeting

When our eyes met I

Never thought I’d end up on your bed

Bathing in your laugh

Wishing we could be

Something more than what we are

Something magical

A Summer Fling

Your lips are softer

Than in my most pleasant dreams

and I get lost in

the taste of your smile

and the comforting heat of

your voice in my ear

An Autumn Dwindling

The leaves start to fall

Just as I did for you but

now you reject me

Unanswered calls turn

to scatterbrained excuses

I can’t help but believe

A Winter Ending

The cold comes from the

words you spit at me like the

venom of a snake

and maybe you are

the viper I  always feared

but goodbye is hard

A New Year Reflecting

I can’t help but think

back to my naiveté that

blinded me from seeing

Blinded me from seeing

the truth behind you and your

crocodile grin

so sad but like the comparison of loving someone to the four seasons especially the autumn where definitely the signs are starting to crop up
