Expiration Unknown

Expiration Unknown

A Poem by Insatiable Writer
"

We don't know when our time with others will be our last, whether by death or by paths just no longer being intertwined... Everyone has their own road down the line.

"

A day, a week, a month, a year,

Every second spent with you made it clear,

That this would be forever lasting,

Or so my mind thought, wished and hoped for.

Before I knew it,

Our paths grew distant,

And we grew apart.

We expired, but our date was unknown.

And if I had known of such a possibility,

Would I have risked it anyway?

Would I have let myself grow to feel

the heartache time and time again

For many moments with you

that I’d never get back?
