Disappointed Love

When love goes from great to misleading and unfortunate This is an old poem that still rattles my heart

We were best friends

I thought would never end

I liked you for a while

You always made me smile

I had this crush

You gave my heart a rush

You made me happy 

Even when i was feeling crappy

I started to fall

Even though I had my sturdy walls

What i made you feel 

You told me it was for real

You said you were in love

Your heart swarming with doves 

Part of me felt like you were playing games

Your free spirit was the hardest to tame

Something changed in some short time 

Almost like a flip of a dime

You started to get distant and weren't being the talking one

Which made things more fun

I thought you cared

As my heart started to tear, you were being unfair

Our love wasn't so rare

Mixed and Misleading

All i was doing was begging and pleading

You didn't realize you were hurting me inside 

I thought you had someone else on your mind besides

I ignored a lot for you

I didn't wanna ruin me and you

I let more things go

Even though it didn't show

I felt like i was just THERE

Because if you really cared

You wouldn't have been so unfair 

I wish you had spoken your mind

My heart was just a waist of your time

To me so it seemed

I wish we were a better team

Instead you just left with someone else's heart on your sleeve

I'm over you now 

Yet it still hurts like holy cow 

You were my best friend so i thought 

Really you didn't know a lot 

Because if you did 

You would have fought..

I really like how you rhymed this, it is truly a very good poem. It also can refer to peoples feelings in a lot of feelings that people feel when the one they love, goes and disappears. I would love to read more of your work. You have a really good talent!

when i read this i thought of the guy that broke my heart when he told me he loved me but he was with my best friend now she hates me and i still love him.
