Judge Me

Judge Me

A Poem by Katie The Neko
"

This is a spoken word poem for those who have been bullied or mistreated

"
You call me fat because of my size
You call me dramatic, a b***h when i speak my mind
You say I'm a stereotype when i state the facts
When I try to loose weight you assume I'm purging or starving myself to death
When i cry easily you think I'm pathetic
When I try to help people you say I have no life
That I'm just some pushover that doesn't see the truth
How dare you judge me
Ridicule Me for your own personal gain
You say I'm a baby when I'm scared of pain, or the yelling i hear
Do you walk in my shoes? Do you hear how i hear, see what i see
I bet you don't even give a damn about me
You just want to make my life hell
because you have no life of your own
You enjoy the sorrow in my eyes
But in reality the sorrow in yours
Judge Me! That's all you seem to do

I must say it is a good poem short but yet to the point! And in this era of time judging or assuming is normal, it is common, so a word of advice that I was given is that even though they might judge and down grade, they are just trying to hide their faults and flaws.

I've heard an idea like this before and I think that it really puts out a message that no matter who we are we will always be judged. Especially now. What I haven't seen in this kind of poetry before was the last part where you talk about the person who judge's. How they are truly the most hurt by words. How they are to weak to deal with their own flaws, that they find them in others. I really thought it was quite brilliant. Thank you for offering a new perspective on this topic :)

It is the same here too ;p... you're welcome
its packed with aggression and confident demand of explanation..very nicely written :) you know people always tend to say things no-matter what you do so its better to do things you love and be taunted rather than listen to things after doing things to please others :) universal love :) maybe coming soon :D

I have been in your shoes, and it was not a surprise that I get to identify myself to the person in the poem. Sad to say, there are a lot of people out there who immediately judge people based on their physical appearances, when the truth is, they just try to displace their own frustrations to other people. This is such a bold take on defending oneself. if only confrontations where that easy....love the poem!

Speak the truth woman, let them know that that is all they are good for. Some people find fault in everything that other people do, but the truth is that they are just miserable with themselves and they don't know how to handle it, so they take it out on other people. I have been there, but just know that they can only bring you as low as you let them. Wonderful work.

I loveee this poem... Yes I have been in these shoes before with my weight.. People judge you so quickly before they even get a chance to know you...

This is good. It is better out loud most definitely. Maybe think about your stance in the confrontation. I.e, not that they have no lives of their own but more the misery they must feel to lash out at others. it makes your counter attack deeper
