A Torrid Affair

 

It was a short but wonderful summer

One I will never forget

She was a vision of beauty

It was on the beach at sunset

 

I don’t know how it happened

But she fell for this guy right away

We loved like there was no tomorrow

But I could not make her stay

 

Maybe it was just meant to be

A short but torrid affair

But I still can see her in my dreams

Sea breezes blowing through golden hair

 

So now I smile and wonder

If love like that will again find me

Where two became one, under a setting sun

That summer we met by the sea.

i know im not the only one, but i had a love like this before. same story, she found someone else, flew to germany and i never saw her again.
you told your story really well here. the beach and the setting sun are great imagery.
