In Loving Memory

In Loving Memory

A Poem by Wyndi

The park was quite empty
except for a girl and her dad,

She gazed in my direction
her expression went sad,

She whispered in her dad's ear
his attention now on me,

His and my eyes locked
my intentions were to flee,

He took his daughter's hand
both of them drawing near,

Not knowing what to do
I was filled with so much fear,

Then suddenly a face
that my soul recognized,

Tears now running down my face
because I suddenly realized,

With a gust of wind so harsh
and out of the blues,

I woke up to puffy eyes
surrounded with tissues.
