Hold On

Hold On

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

Another one for my ex-girlfriend after she got despondent over a situation that left us both wondering how things would go on.

"
Situation hard on us both
I can't fix this all; not yet
Eyes upon your life, weathering the storm
Private moments a rarity you treasure

Please hold on

I would be there in a heartbeat if I could
Not my greatest promise to you
Wanting to hold you close
Feel your heartbeat, hear you breath

Please hold on

Waiting for an eternity to pass
Or at least that is how it feels
Not in close proximity in the now
We will have to make up for lost time

Please hold on

Comfort in the future of us both
Less stress for you with a pending move
Closer to your beginning and the new
Wishing to take your hand for even a simple walk

Please hold on

Voices traverse the distance, easing hearts
Never before have I missed one so much
Knowing you feel the same about me
Snow must fall and rains must fall before we are together

Please hold on

I can not promise a grand home
A guilded castle with all you desire
But I love you, care about you
Thick or thin, with you till the end

Please hold on
