Closure

Closure

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

I believe this is about a funeral my ex-girlfriend went to.

"
Loss never easy
Even soldiers cry
Distance makes it harder
To properly say goodbye
Composure difficult to keep
Sleep a distant memory
Tore up inside
Those we want the most
For a hand to hold
Or a shoulder to cry on
To stand beside you
As you grieve
For another committed
To eternal rest
Unable to be there
To pay your respects
Twisted feelings within
Heartfelt loss
For another soul
Closure may only be
Reserved for an earthen store
Carved with words
In memory of those
Gone before their time
