Romeo's Guilt

Romeo's Guilt

A Poem by Tori
"

Romeo is not as innocent as we all think!

"

Oh Romeo! Romeo!
Look what you have done!
You're foolish ways have slain the sun!
The blood is there! Upon your hands!
Her taste! It resides on your lips!
We've seen you!
We've seen you!
Murder her with bloody fingertips!
Your horrid motives and appalling lust,
have left our goddess to mold and must!
The Eastern skies are cold and empty!
Without her warmth they are lonely!
Extinguished her fire, you have done!
Even with her trust in you only!
The Capulet and Montague!
That vow meant nothing to you!
An Angel has fallen!!
You have clipped her wings!
There! The feathers! In your palms!
OH! Sir, can you not see!?
This golden girl so tender and frail!
Her body now clad in a powdery pale!
Romeo! Oh, Romeo! Do you feel no shame?
Your inane actions have dirtied the name!
Do you feel no guilt as she lies so cold?
Shed tears, you have not,
though she lies covered in mold?
There! There! That dagger there!
It drips her blood! Exerts her life!
Have you no heart? This brutal death,
You give your wife!
Oh sir! Ma'am! must you be so blind?
It's not his blood the blade drinks!
There! There! The woman there!
Less man be fooled by what he thinks!
The vial! There! Look closer!
No sir! No sir! Dead he's not!
Back! Back I say! Back! Be gone! Away!
It was not love the young man sought!
Money! Lust! He got it all!
Yes, Yes! He acquired what he craved!
And craved him, so she did,
and look now upon her grave!
The ring! The ring! look!
Observe the golden band!
Look at him! Look at him!
It is not there upon his hand!
It's soaked in blood! And tossed aside!
Look! There! In the arms of death,
our Juliet resides!
And who, you ask, who!?
No! No! Do not be fooled!
It was not her own hand that committed the task!
Look at him! Reveal the monster behind the mask!
Why do you mourn for him?
No! Can you not all see!?
Look what he has done! Look at her!
It is she painfully bleeds!
Oh Romeo! Romeo!
You're death was such relief!
Though others cry! And to others grief!
You stole her heart! You stole their trust! You stole her life!
You are merely nothing but a pompous thief!!
