The Stage Is Yours

The Stage Is Yours

A Poem by Ghost Writer

It's kind of cool that at one point someone was doing everything for you,
Now you are your own person.
Look how far you've come,
How much that you've done for yourself.
Think of what you have done that people said you couldn't,
Things you will do when people say you can't.
When you were born, the entire world was waiting with outstretched hands to try to mold you into their idea of a perfect being.
Your guardian angels stood by you,
Not to shape you but to guide you in a safer direction.
But no direction is safe,
There's always regrets and mistakes and risks.
Anything can hurt you,
Maybe not on purpose,
But it can.
Some people choose to tread safe waters,
The wild cards and the most beautiful souls run over eggshells ignoring the stabbing pain of obstacles to do what other people wouldn't.
Taking every mistake,
Bump, bruise,
Risk in stride to make their lives full.
Beautiful,
Wonderful, lives like waterfalls and memories and love shower them and their crazy, reckless, adventures.
You choose a path and take a walk or run, only to take a short rest.
When you wake up you are once again small and helpless, having everything done for you.
