The deepest kind of fears,

Are the ones,

Causing the most tears,

 

I’ve tried so hard,

To protect you so,

But I don’t hold all the cards.

 

My heart just breaks,

With every single sigh,

Tears of heartaches.

I want to hold you tight,

Whisper all will be well,

Make it all be alright,

 

But the darkest pain lingers,

Scarring along the way,

As cold as ice in the winter,

Scars heal so slowly,

Some wounds hurt longer,

But I hold you closely,  

 

All nights come to an end,

All the pain will fade away,

Even broken hearts mend.
