Reap Benifits

Reap Benifits

A Poem by Xavier Mathis McIntosh
"

A poem about the emotions that I still live with after my dad passed...

"

In time, always in time is a disturbance of mine,

Implanted from the start, and why must we part?

A question many think, but cannot answer,

And it's not the same, death is a cancer,

That grows on and in,

Reminders are always there within,

The pain of living, and the questions emiting,

Are too much to be kidding,

When in doubt, know your way out,

But the fright of the sight, has been your only spout,

Anger, hate, desire to win,

Will never bring him back again,

I hope everyday I will forget,

Or at least make it,

You know it's bad when a single breath reminds you of his last...

Father, the time is now,

Reaping the benifits,

And wear God's crown...

I really like this. Life is the art of letting go . . . of everything.

Thank you I will.

You definitely have a gift to explore. Keep at it. Writing will help you also deal with the pain of loss... I lost both of my parents while I was a teen and wrote, and wrote... then shut it off for 20 years. Let's just say I'm still making up for stuff I should have written about all along. Keep writing, keep honing your skills. You're doing great here. Looking forward to reading more of your work.

That was great.

I liked the poem. Nice choice of words, but the font size is too small, making it less enjoyable than it should be
