The Reality of Friends

The Reality of Friends

A Poem by XtheLoneWolf

Friendships come and they go, that’s just reality

If they left it was meant to be, it’s just human destiny

I’ve always been resilient, surviving life on my own

The wolves are stronger in packs but the strongest wolf is alone

Countless people make promises to always be around

The same people who aren’t there to pick you up from the ground

They’ll appear when you’re up but disappear when you’re down

Seasonal relationships like the sun and the snow

Seasonal people often come and then go

When you leave I won’t fight for you to stay

I meet new seasonal people just about every day

When you leave, make me a promise to stay away

After you’re gone we will have nothing more left to say

I’m the lone wolf because I chose to be that way

If they left it was meant to be, it’s just human destiny

Friendships come and go, that’s just reality
