What You Don't See

WHAT YOU DON’T SEE

Lost,

Broken,

Alone,

Defeated.

Not knowing what is going to happen next,

Not knowing when this feeling is going to go away,

Feeling like you don't know how to deal with this,

Feeling like you don't know how to do anything,

Feeling like you don't know anything.

Life has a funny way of doing bad things to good people,

To the people that don't deserve it,

People who don't know what to do when they feel this way,

People who aren't quite strong enough to feel this way,

People who were the definition of happy.

That's okay though,

Because the happiest people know how to fake a smile,

The happiest people know how to keep the light in their eyes,

Even when their minds are dark,

The happiest people know how to hide the darkest things.

You never truly know,

When life screwed someone over,

What a person went through,

What a person is going through,

What a person is feeling.

For all you know the person you just saw,

The one that looks like a ray of sunshine,

The one that you think is the happiest person in the world,

They could be feeling,

Lost,

Broken,

Alone,

Defeated.
