CONCRETE HEART

 My Soul Was fenced with barbed wires

Doors were locked and chained

But eventually I let you In

I changed for you

I’ve tried for you

And lost in the end

I will never understand your kindest apologies

Your love stories turned me inside out

I was everything to you and now

I’m a void in your life

You said you were different

But you became like everyone else

Desire was built on lies

My pain had changed into reality

Forever never came

You severed my fragile heartstrings

I’m now sculpting myself like I’ve done so many times before

Smoothing the edges and scraping away vulnerability

I Will hurt no more

I Will burn no more

I am now a concrete creation

A solid heart of solace

You Wont crack me again

written for the man who begged me to let him in..and when I did he broke my heart for it to only heal stronger and colder then ever before.
