Wash Away

Wash Away

A Poem by Rhianna

Reflections in a mirror pool.
His eyes staring back.
You remain a painted fool.
Yourself is what you lack.

His touch is planted on your skin.
His words escape your mouth.
You reak of poison scented sin.
His sin without a doubt.

You scrub to find what's underneath.
Hoping you are there.
Squinting, clenching, gritting teeth.
Skin begins to tear.

In blood tainted water
you rinse away the grime.
Your face gets even hotter,
when nothing's what you find.
Cause he's still in your mind.
