The Outside

No place to run
No place to hide
Their always watching
On the otherside

They taste the air
No place you cannot be seen
Their laugh haunts
In the inbetween

Sudden chills
And deathly screams
Nothing makes sense
And nothing is as it seems

They suck your life
Your hopes and your dreams
You hear them far
Even beyond the seas

They stalk their prey
All through the night
But they never make it
To next mornings light

You may ask who we are
You may shed silent tears
But what scares you most
Is they feed off your fears.
