On the Horizon

sometimes pain can bring darkness and the only way to find the light is to take in that pain. Taking it in, accepting it, and turning it into love can bring the light. There's hope on the horizon.

Existing pain extinguishes the light

inhale the night to brighten life

There's so much beauty unseen

take the darkness inside the cage

Genuine, hopeful ideals;

exude love into the air

seeing what has been lost

It sat on the other side of pain

Clouded by the past

faithful walking without sight

the sun rises on the horizon

come to the beauty of the day

Very solid philosophy behind this one. The agony of pain is in great part due to the mind's tendency to resist it. If we can accept it and bear with it, it will eventually pass. Continued resistance means continued pain.
