Life-Gamble Winning Homeless

Life-Gamble Winning Homeless

A Poem by Yoga Pramartha
"

A piece of poetry that I wrote in fourth semester A submitted work for vocabulary 3 course

"

I was a man of straw,

I was a man on his shoestring,

A man full of flaws,

Who tried to figure out what life could bring.

In a big city with nights full of lights,

I was stranded with neither hope nor chances.

As a light purse makes a heavy heart,

I walked alone as a begging homeless.

People threw the jiggling coins in my hat,

As if they knew that they would never need them.

But life is a gamble where we should cast the bet,

And so did I know, those coins was worth the game.

A single dime was worth a grain of rice,

For that I would not waste any.

It was how I rolled the dice,

As of now I've won the bet, a saving full of money.

About
I recall the day when I sit down alone on the bench underneath an oak tree. That was when I realized that I am an introvert, nature is the only true friend of mine. I see no sillhouette over the sun t.. more..
