Young Poet

Young Poet

A Poem by Smithie Austin McLyn
"

Poetry in motion in your head

"

A young poet armed with words and phrases as weapons up against a cruel reality.

The world he lives in is not what he believes it is

Painted with lively colors just to hide the dark shades of the world.

He raises his pen and tries to change the world with his words

Shades of dark haunt him as he seeks for a better world.

He could run… he could hide…..yet he stands and fights.

Armed with courage, a pen, and his words which he hopes would spread out inspiration.

Everything thrown at him seems to be a reason more to just throw the towel and give up.

His faith may never be restored but he will always fight for what he seems right.

His life a battle of its own but nevertheless always giving his best.

Thats so true, kinda relatable n touchy. The mind of a poet is where indeed another world prevails. And he tries to show that world vividly to others using words. Also, thats a cool messy style u've used in here. The theme is unique too. Good piece. =)
