Reward

Reward

A Poem by Smithie Austin McLyn
"

Old Peom

"

What’s better than waking up to know that the person you like is with you?

Yet when your dreams seems to be impossible to reach and your hope are shatter with reality

You stand up dust off your shoulders ready to put up a fight.

I’m addicted to your smile, your eyes, and your being

A daily dose of your love is all I need yet you leave me helpless and addicted.

These feelings for you are like part of a disease in in which you seem to have the cure.

The instant I saw you I fell for you not knowing what I was getting myself into

I’ve lost many battles but I continue to fight knowing that the war could still be won.

Love being the obstacle and you being the reward.
