Wedding Day

On this day we become one

Now our new life has begun

A young couple on with their new life

Together as husband and wife

Our new future awaits us

Father and I walk side by side

Walking down the aisle with an elegant stride

There is a single tear in father's eye

Its time for daddy's little girl to say goodbye

If only mother was alive

I stand on the alter next to my husband-to-be

He sheds a tear as we exchange rings

We both say our vows filled with love

I thank god and the heavens above

We gaze at each other with such love

Out vows are said but we're not through

We seal them with the words "I do"

My old life I will not miss

We open the door of our new life with a kiss
