Summer in December

Summer in December

A Poem by Beka Perry
"

This what I was think about the recent weather, in Missouri, I been having.

"

The warm air hits my skin,

The sun sends a sweating vibe.

Such warm weather,

For such a cold December…

The tree is up,

Lights are everywhere.

I guess Santa will love

Handing out presents

This year…

The 70 degrees air,

The shorts and the flip flops.

What has come of Mother Nature?

Where is our white Christmas?

There’s no snow on ground,

Only heat radiates the humid air.

I look out the window,

Hoping for dark blue skies

And the snowflakes to fall.

I guess summer in December

Isn’t that great

After all…
