Wolf's Bride

Wolf's Bride

A Poem by Yozora Misa
"

Wolves have always fascinated me. Something about them just screams of fantasy. The inspiration for this poem came when I was watching the anime Inuyasha.

"

Those eyes cold as ice

Watches me at night

Those lips stain blood red

Whispers sweet words within my ear

Those hands strong as rock

Reaches out to protect me

I stare into the eyes of my wolf

And listen to his howl at night

I comb his soft fur

As he sleeps on my lap

My eyes warm as fire

Watches him in day light

My lips pink as a rose

Whispers love within his ear

My hands gentle as the wind

Reaches out to comfort him

My wolf stares into my eyes

And smirks sexually

He caress me

As he lays me down

The moon is high in the sky

And the wind tells the story

Of the wolf and his bride

If you changed your name to Mowgli, you would probably be able to spend more time with wolves. I learned this from reading a book, so therefore it is true.
The imagery of this poem works well, apart from "mane". To me, this would indicate a lion. I do not believe a wolf has a mane. Otherwise, it is very evocative.

That's the boy from The Jungle Book.

This is awesome, though I agree with TLK. 'Mane' denotes that it is either a horse or a lion. Try using pelt, that's a wolfish word.
Other than that, it was amazing. You know where this is going?
