Awaiting Rescue

Awaiting Rescue

A Poem by Yozora Misa

Walk aimlessly

In blind scenery

Scared by thorns

Shifting through forms

She places her head to rest

In a forsaken nest

With tatter wings she flutters around

But is chained to the ground

The skies give way to rain

Yet it doesn’t wash away the pain

Look towards the sky

As rain drops from her eyes

Made a wish deep down inside

But no answer was decide

She awaits the day she turns to dust

Until the wind brings a message in its gust

Amongst the pain and sorrow

She continues to live for tomorrow

Anxiously awaiting the date

When a gentle hand will rescue her from her fate
