With a heart wide open

With a heart wide open

A Poem by Yuzuki Cross

We fear that which we do not know

Our minds play games against our hearts
And drive us into insanity
And when 'true love' knocks
It's just another day...?

Oh, just end this tug of war
Heart and mind listen to my voice
Driven only by my own two hands,
Let me be enjoy what I have gained...

Please, if there ever was a God
I'd hope he'd send this terror away
Because it's eating me alive
The Devil himself corrupts me

Or, is it true?
Does this thing called love
Really tear me apart?
Love?

Oh, so young and confused.
I'll lose my way.
I'll just give up.
Wait...

I don't want to be alone
Never again will I let go
No matter what the cost
I won't let myself go back...

Selfishness?
Oh, I'm only human with a few decades on my back.
What am I to know?
But I do know that
I will not rest

Until my mind has ceased all taunts and doubt
And my heart opens.
