The Afterlife Creation

The Afterlife Creation

A Poem by Zachary_James

In the end,

When all is done

And our life’s put to rest.

Darkness is all we consume.

But what happens in the afterlife?

Nothing but glass we will become,

Just figures of the body and soul.

We will become guards of heaven,

The guards of hell.

But for what cause,

To protect the afterlife,

From the demons trying to invade.

Protectors of the angels. Perhaps?

When that day of darkness, arrives.

We will just be stone statues.

The afterlife, is where I will become human again.

I will be someone’s angel in the deep blue skies.

Helping the ruler of the world, do good deeds.

Nobody knows what afterlife is, like.

We will be Kings and Queens,

Saving the world from harm,

Nobody knows, because we are still living/

Still breathing.

But when I do disappear in the dust,

Leaving who I am.

Behind

I will be an angel,

Made of titanium and can’t be shattered to glass.

We will fade, but not entirely,

Because I’m going to be an angel.

Made of silver glass.

We can’t be broken.

The whole perspective on this concept of the afterlife is quite refreshing. I enjoyed it very much. I have noticed from your writings that when you write about a concept specifically, you find the right words to fit the moment. You are a true writer. Loved it!

Oh my goodness! Zach, this is one of the best poems I have read in awhile basing upon religion. I really loved reading this, I surely must say. It has been a great pleasure too. Why don't you have more reviews and views on such a lovely poem that you have shared with all of us? I think you deserve a lot more than what you have. I love the whole idea that you put into the poem. There are some people out in the world that doesn't even believe in afterlife. But hey, let them believe what they want right? Everyone has the right to have their own personal opinion on everything. There is a Heaven and a Hell in my own personal opinion. I won't stop believing that either! I do love the thought of becoming an angel helping God with any of his deeds and just being in his bright and wonderful presence.

"We will become guards of heaven,
The guards of hell.
But for what cause,
To protect the afterlife,
From the demons trying to invade." --I love these lines! Although I think the words "heaven" and hell" should be captialized since you made them places in your poem. I find them as places and always captializes them! Just my opinion though.

Side note: Beautiful job all around.
