Garden

Garden

A Poem by ZDMusgrove
"

Just a little poem I found in one of my notebooks thought I might share it.

"
What kind of flora are you?
Are you a rose?
A beautiful bloom, but with vindictive thorns.
Are you a dandelion?
Glorious and brittle, and in a breeze torn apart.
Are you a sunflower?
Dazzling, but have no smell to call your own.
Are you fly trap?
With sultry fumes, alluring colors, and take in anything that's attracted to you.
Are you a mistletoe?
Cling to others, and leeching them of their life.
Are you wolfsbane?
Innocent and breath taking, but hold a toxic brew inside.
Are you a weed?
Trying to grow in a world where your hated.
So in this garden of a world,
What are you?

Ahh, very sweet and unique. I did thoroughly enjoy it and had to contemplate what kind I am. One note, in the last lines : *you're. Other than that, great piece!

I like poetry that ask questions. This poem asked many. I like the use of the flowers to create thoughts and possibilities. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
