Rain on Me

Rain on Me

A Poem by Zachary Dary

Rain on me.
Pour on me.
Shower me.
Show me you care.
Cry your tears into me.
Cry until your eyes are red.
Hold me tight.
Tighter.
Tighter.
Hold me like you'll never let go.
But you do.
All I am is a means, a means to an end.
A way of getting it out without showing it.
All those tears and sobs.
They don't want to see.
So you show me because I care.
You show me because you care.
You care about Them.
You show me because you don't care.
You don't care about me.
What am I?
Who am I to you?
I'm just your tear-soaked teddy bear.

wow. I can't say I relate to this one, but honestly the way you wrote it something makes me want to say for a moment or two I completely understood the feeling. Great job of putting me in your shoes. I love the way emotion pours from every line. great piece

This is beautiful. Very relatable.

Sometimes we seem to soak up everyone else's emotions, feeling like a 'tear soaked teddy bear' or a door mat. Try giving a bit of the same treatment back! Your poem, with the techniques you use, is very evocative.
