Stone Steps

Stone Steps

A Chapter by Elizabeth A. Terry

On a path, small and forgotten, a lone place waits.

It is surrounded by a lake of green, stone walls hide it from sight.

Forever separated from people.

It waits within the forest for one human.

One curious human.

The trap was already set.

Enraptured by faith, the human would fall into a sleep so deep.

And hidden from the rest, the human shall fall unnoticed on the steps.
