If only she knew

Just a random piece i thought of in one of my classes.

She was always sad, never mad, just sad

He just wanted to make her glad

No matter how much he tried to flatter her

No matter how much he tried to make her feel like she mattered

All the love he gave her just shattered

It was as if her heart was locked away

As if her emotions had washed away like old oceans

But he still gave her devotion

It was his only notion of showing her his emotion

But no matter how much he loved

All she did was shove

So he left

And she was still a mess

If only he knew that he was the one who defended her from ending it

Some people you can’t save, no matter how powerful love is, it can’t fix everything
