Lost Within this World

Lost Within this World

A Poem by Cats Eye

Everything within this world
Is so different, yet the same
The zigzagged stream
Now runs dry

Those rolling hills
Filled with those glorious trees
That once held magnificent species
Now torn down for land development

All that sweet smelling hay
All those large farms
Losing money
Losing their land

Where do we turn?
What will we do?
How will we move on?
Do we even really care?

No where to turn
Nothing that anyone is willing to do
Unable to take one step forward with out taking two backwards
Not really since were unwilling to help those in need

What has become of this world?
Once in the beginning
We were always there
Help our neighbors in their time of need

Through sickness
Through a tragic death
Through a drinking problem

Through the loss of a loved pet.
