Love, Is It True?

Love, Is It True?

A Poem by Drinnok

Love, is it true?
like the stars in the sky
love, is it true?
like the oceans tide
why ask why?
how honest is the smile of a groom or bride

Love or lust?
defined often the same
contorting loves game
lust a dying tree
Love that which sets us free
a privilige not a right
some will die without the honest light
loves light, warm, endearing
like a hot summers days welcomes the rain

taken for granted when it comes easy
cherished by those in withdrawl
feinding for that freefall
lighter than air, dancing on a breeze
grant this peasant something to believe
not the lies of dieing leaves

love, is it true?
like the ripples in a lake
love, is it true?
like the decent of a feather on the wind
is it love or lust
Love, is it true in the end?
