"chimes of freedom"

"chimes of freedom"

A Poem by Dylan
"

reflecting on a never love of yesteryear.

"

the byrds sing

dylan on the player,

for 'the times they are a-changin'

as the hour of twelve passes

to another day,

while my life crisis peaks

on the morrow to come.

yet here again i write

of that eternal mystery,

who is 'just like a womann'

with 'paths of victory' denied

for 'nothing was delivered'.

yet just maybe, you ask,

like "peggy sue"

would she open up

and 'lay lady lay'?

this forever dream

i truly know not,

but that road to travel

is yours alone

should you care to corner

her truth,

and ring this mystery in

for mind, body and soul

with 'chimes of freedom'.
